let me just say– i am incredibly proud of how the boys handled the onslaught of liam’s passing.
those 4 boys have some of the most famous faces in this world, most especially after oct 16. for sure, paps were searching for them every-fucking-where to be the first ones to catch a glimpse of their grief-stricken faces to make a quick buck. BUT those boys did EVERYTHING to stay out of the spotlight. yes, we had some pap pics of niall walking his dog (fuck the paps fr) and fan pics with niall in an art gallery but OTHER THAN THAT!?!?!?!? NOTHING?!?!?! that’s almost incomprehensible for the level of fame they have.
even at the funeral, they never gave the paps the satisfaction of a pic of all of them together. in the moment where they deserve, more than anything, to be together, they set that aside to make sure that liam’s funeral remains HIS, a celebration of his wonderful life.
in my heart of hearts, i really believe they came together to ensure that (1) the paps didnt get what they want, (2) that liam’s life and legacy is celebrated exactly the way he deserved, and (3) that they each be able to mourn and move forward in their own way and time.
so, so, so proud. well done boys. we all see you. we are so fucking proud of you.

I stitched these two corvids while my partner was off on a business trip. While I love the blue one, I changed the color scheme from red to green and added in the clouds for the other in an attempt to add at least one other color, and I’m not sure if the results are all that great. Maybe I should have stuck with the original colors. Hopefully, their intended recipient still loves them! Let me know in the tags if you still think it looks okay.
Yeah, I agree. Other than being able to do it completely in secret, it was the best we could hope for. And I know it did help a lot of people feel some closure. I hope everyone involved felt okay about the way it played out. It was really hard seeing Harry, Louis, Zayn, and Niall, so I hope they were okay being photographed.
Seeing every one of the little details about the funeral, from the boys and other celebrities not shying away from the camera due to the deal regarding Bear, to the flowers commemorating Liam’s love of bowling, have been sweet and amazing.
But what broke me was seeing the Batman decals. All of the cars the boys showed up in had Batman decals on the back as a final send off for Liam and his love of Batman. Even Geoff had his own Batman cuff links to commemorate Liam’s love.
The human details, things that remind us that this Liam, someone we love and care for and support as a celebrity, was also a person. One with interests and loves and those who cared for him and his memory no matter what. Fly High Liam, we will miss you always.
